Eriko Sato

Eriko Sato is a jewelry and accessory designer based in Tokyo.

After graduating from Bunka Fashion College, she worked as a designer at "im product," part of the Issey Miyake Group, before establishing her own independent studio.

At the core of her work is a sincere commitment to challenging materials.

Turning her eye toward plastic bottles, garbage bags, and other materials rarely used in conventional accessories, she transforms everyday objects and discarded materials into one-of-a-kind pieces through careful handcraft.

Believing that even a once-discarded material holds new potential, she continues to create unique works that allow the individuality of each material to shine.

Michiko Sato

Michiko Sato is a sculptor and jewelry designer with a career spanning nearly 60 years.

After graduating from Musashino Art University, she established herself as a sculptor, creating numerous objects and reliefs installed in public buildings across Japan.

In 1999, she won two categories at the International Pearl Design Contest, which opened the door to her expanded work in the world of jewelry design.

Known for her mastery of three-dimensional form, she brings a fine art perspective to everything she creates.

In 8053 TOKYO, the brand she launched together with her daughter Eriko, flows the spirit of sculptural inquiry she has cultivated over decades, and the shared belief of both women in the boundless possibilities of materials.
